Is it safe to give a dog Glucosamine Chondroitin for arthritis?

I have a dog suffering from arthritis. He is taking Rimadyl for it. But medicine is not helping him. What else I can do for him?

Glucosamine and chondroitin has worked very well for my arthritis dogs. We were told that had to be on Rimadyl, but not doing anything. I give it two pills a day of vitamin Joint Global pacifier and has made a complete turn around after only a couple of weeks. It was a year that has been in these and am very happy that this is what has helped. I heard that liquids work well, and to enter the system much faster.
